E-mail Becomes Real Mail Using NetGram

By Dave Ross, Chip Talk - CBS Radio

Click here to listen to the CBS Radio audio clip describing NetGram.

"E-Mail made real, this is Dave Ross with Chip Talk. Even in an e-mail world, there is sometimes no substitute for a real letter on real paper, and that's what NetGram does. Since 1995, NetGram has been turning email into old fashioned paper mail, and unlike the other services which try to do the same thing, it's still around. Probably because the company won a patent on the concept, which means even the Post Office can't offer such a service unless it contracts with NetGram."

"The concept is pretty simple, you write your letter, you compile a list of recipients, and you e-mail it to NetGram. High speed machines then print the letter, put it in a real envelope, apply the correct postage, and have it in the mail within 24 hours. Cost, as little as $0.59 cents per letter, a $1.29 if you like an elaborate letterhead. Remember, they can send out 1 letter or thousands, which means you can basically generate junk mail right from your desktop. Hey, what am I am saying, the industry calls it direct mail. We musn't judge it until we open it. NetGram.com, or get the link at ChipTalk.com. This is Dave Ross."
